so yea, my birthday is coming up super early february.
we wanted to do something i would find interesting, and somewhat different from the usual eatin' out thing.
due to my unabashed love of sea life, dar and i decided it would be fun to take a day trip to Baltimore and visit the aquarium as well as go out for dinner. as long as iv been going to otakon, i have NEVER been to the Baltimore aquarium... which in some cases i may have enjoyed more then the con itself. ha! for anyone whos ever seen me at an aquarium, youd understand.
but yeah, as for what day, its a toss up between sat, jan 30th or the following saturday, feb 6th. im leaning towards the 30th, just because the 6th is the weekend before katsu and ill be taking some days off for that as well. plus the 30th is closer to my actual birthday (feb 2.) tickets would be about 25$ for general admission, and we dont have any ideas for dinner yet.

so yeah. i know its pretty soon, being as were already into january, but im just curious as to who might be interested. LEMME KNOW!

I'm finally back home in MD. And I think I might be getting sick now. x_x But can't let that slow me down as I have a lot to do and very little time to do it in. I start work up at Signature next week so that will cut down a lot on my time to sew stuff.

I may write more on the TN trip later as a lot happened and I'm not sure how interested anyone would be in it. Eventually there will be some photos at least though most of the ones on my camera are just doll related stuff. But I did have a really good time and enjoyed hanging with everyone I saw when I was there. Many inside jokes were made over the last week, lots of cosplay stuff, and many many dolls.

But yes, I know it's a little late but Happy New Year everyone. I spent my New Year's Eve with dolls and guitar hero.

I usually do a big summary entry about the year each year. But really all I can say about 2009 is that it sucked. Big time. And those that know me well already know why. It seemed to suck for a lot of people, I noticed. So here's to us all having a much better year in 2010. I certainly plan to. This year made me realize a lot of things and I think I have grown from it and will be a lot happier this year.

Well I'm still in TN. Stuck here for yet another day due to poor Jensen getting sick and none of us wanted her driving in her current state. So hopefully she'll be well enough for us to leave super early tomorrow so that I can still see Ren on the way back.

So I won't be actually home til Wednesday. Which kinda sucks 'cause I have so much shit to do right now and not much time to do it in. *cry* Trying my best not to panic but its not working too well.

holidays are, for all intents and purposes, over. return week from hell is done, and the kiddies should be going back to school. the store is a disaster area. i did manage to get a good portion of the backroom and bathroom clean yesterday. this week at work is gonna be cleaning and holiday recovery. cant say im exactly looking forward to it, but its better then HOSHIT HOLIDAY ASSHOLE ALART!

been feeling crappy on and off. my 80yrd old joints have been killing me. i need a rocking chair and cane. then again, iv ALWAYS needed a rocking chair and cane. and monocle. just because.

besides work and whatnot, the holidays have been pretty uneventful. christday got me boot!sock thingys, Heathers on DVD, the Prisoner complete set (original 60's series X3) on DVD, SHEEP PILLOW (hes so FLAT!!!! esmagado ovelha lol,) catan board game WOOO, Deadpool/Thunderbolts book, and sleep... mmmmm sleep.

we played in the snow for the first time in years... ( with 20+ inches, i couldn't help myself. )

but yeah. thats about it. im not really one to do resolutions for the new year or reminisce about the old. its all just ultimately another year. *shrug*

First up notes for our past selves... glebs and archie did it so i figure it's a good thing

That all being said. I did two things in the past 8 days i haven't done in quite a while. Tonight i saw my father for the first time in like 3 or 4 years... It reminded me of just how strong of a person he is and how i still wish to be somewhat like him. He's faults and my faults are very similar, which makes me chuckle. My relationship with him is still so much better than the between me and my mother or my step father... i don't understand why that is. I guess it's because i don't feel like i'm on egg shells worrying about whether i'll have a place to sleep anytime i talk to him.

The other thing i did was go to dinner with Kara. It was nice to see her again it's been about 2 years i think. We talked about stuff. One of the things we talked about was our impending 10th year high school reunion... i said i only really wanted to see about 3 people, but i got to thinking about it and there are a lot of people i want to see.

I did not get nearly as hammered as I expected to last night. I guess that means I fail as an alcoholic. One resolution down already!

Got a little experimental with my pork, kraut, and black-eyes this year, but just the leftover veg I'm cooking off on the side smells delightful. We'll see how things turn out.

Can't find my bottle stopper jontsky so I guess I'll just have to drink all this champagne. WOOPS.

Happy 2010, people. I'll be that guy who reminds you we still technically haven't left the decade.

So I'm going to not really be on much (if at all) for about the next week. I'm in Tennessee. XD Forgot to mention I was doing that. So that's why I won't be on AIM for once. Headed down with Jensen to Richmond yesterday and then we headed down the rest of the way today.

...it was a very long trip. Especially as Corey forgot to tell us that there was a rockslide on the route we were going to take. >> So we had to take a detour that added about another hour to our trip. That and it took us forever to figure it out. x_x

But other than that, a pretty epic car ride. I think we lost our minds a few times. XD
